Year of the Horse in Origami by FoldedWilderness Year of the Horse in Origami by FoldedWilderness
One reason why birds and horses are happy is because they are not
trying to impress other birds and horses.
 ~Dale Carnegie (1888-1955)

With the Chinese new year, we have now entered the year of the horse and this entry is to mark the occasion.

Is is a model designed by Komatsu Hideo, made from a single square sheet of paper, painted before folding with acrylic paint.

Yes, it is only paper that I painted on one side before folding.
That is why there is a bit of weird coloring on the legs; because you see the reverse side that wasn't painted (but did get some transfer from the surface I was working on and got some color onto it.)

Then, as with most origami; it is folded into shape, using no cuts at all.
