Horses in a meadow by FoldedWilderness Horses in a meadow by FoldedWilderness
"I got me some horses
To ride on, to ride on
They say that your demons
Can't go there [...]"

-Tori Amos

Horses folded by myself, from painted square sheets of origami paper.
Designed by Nororu Miyajima (the two models in focus) and J. AnÝbal Voyer for the DOF impaired one.

Amazing work, and an amazing shot. :D
Can I ask what kind of paper you use, and where you get it from?

I most often use the most common origami paper they have in local shops around where I live. It is called "fold'ems" and it is made by yasutomo.

This is what I used in all three of these models. They all have been painted with acrylic paints before folding, often only on one side but, sometimes I paint both sides, specially when a color change is going to happen. The paper needs to be trimmed after, as it expands in one direction and doesn't stay a perfect squared but, I think it's worth the trouble.
